The Sessions nomination and the Senate

I called Ed Markey's and Elizabeth Warren's offices today to ask them about the news that His Supreme Vileness will be nominating Jeff Sessions as Attorney General. Given that Sessions was rejected for a spot on the federal bench during the Reagan years because of his racist policies and comments, he hardly seems like an acceptable candidate for AG.

Staff at both offices characterized the Senators as "strongly opposed" to Sessions' nomination. Warren's staff said to expect an announcement from her within the next 72 hours as to how she plans to block the nomination.
