Call your Senators, tell them you don't support the repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

From this morning's New York Times:

The Senate is expected to take the first step by Thursday morning, approving parliamentary language in a budget resolution that would fast-track a repeal bill that could not be filibustered in the Senate. House and Senate committees would have until Jan. 27 to report out repeal legislation. Health insurance and health care for millions of Americans are at risk.

The Republicans are calling this strategy "repeal and delay," but they have no plan of their own. They are not going to come up with one.

What the GOP is doing here, if allowed to proceed, will leave 20 million Americans without a way to get healthcare. People will die.

Say what you want about the Affordable Care Act, but it is better than the alternative the Republicans are offering, which is nothing.

If you care about this, call your Senators today. If they are Democrats, tell them to do everything they can to drag out this process and block the Republicans' attempts to repeal the ACA. If they are Republicans, tell them you are one of the vast majority of Americans who oppose repeal-and-delay.

They are rushing because they don't want people to figure out what they are doing. They do not want a repeat of what happened last week, when they got caught out trying to gut the indecent ethics office and had to back down.
